So many things were going on left and right this week, I felt like I was back in college doing 5,000 different things. I started training for my job this week. This job is very comparable to my RA job where you do things like check out equipment, monitor behavior, things like that. The only problem with this week was that they wanted to train me on nights.... um excuse me, I don't do nights. It is only on weekends (sometimes) and special occasions do I stay up past midnight, even eleven o'clock and the place I work closes at 1 am on week days and 2 am Friday and Saturdays. It was definitely a struggle the first night or two but by the time Thursday night came along, it wasn't too bad just weird driving home and the base looked deserted.
On top of starting the job, I had class during the day for two of those days which means I got home around 1am for work and got back up at 6am for class. Needless to say it was a butt kicker. Yesterday we had a test so I had to be more alert when I got there so I needed extra coffee!
So all of those things would be fine, but oh wait Q is gone and so that means Cali is inside ALL day!!!. I feel so bad for our little girl. She doesn't understand what is going on. She has been super stressed this week. It is weird to see a dog's response to change. They really understand that things have changed but they want to stay in their routine. Cali started relieving herself while I was away the past 2 days, which she hasn't done in 3 or so months; it's her not so nice way of telling me, "Hey! I'm still here you know. Why do you keep leaving me? Stop that!" So today I am going to take her down to the beach and let her play in the sand and run around, she needs an outlet.
Thankfully my time working nights is over and I will be back on a regular schedule next week. It has been so nice being busy but it sure does exhaust me! My body is so drained today! But it's Friday!!!!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
