More Snow

um so another snow day?? Where do we live again?? This is starting to get crazy!!! I left work just a couple hours early today and so far we don't go in till late morning tomorrow so we will see.  It took me over double the amount of time to get home today; I am so glad I drove Q's truck instead of my car!

So it started this morning and now we have about 5-6 inches out there.  Luckily this time it is all very fluffy snow.  It is so fun!  This girl loves it!!!!  We ran around outside.  She was definitely trying to herd me.  She would stay outside all day if she could.  Poor girl comes in with snow balls stuck to her everywhere!!!

Have a great week!

Deployment memories

As this deployment is coming to an end (YAY!) I wanted to look back at all the things that have happened over the past 7 months.

The last photo taken of Q and I before he left.

The guest room make over was one of my favorite projects over the past 7 months. I can't wait for Q to see it in person.

My dad's visit back in August was a cherished moment as well.  I don't get to see him often so when I do it is always a blessing.

The girls from girls on the run with the local Boys and Girls Club.  This was such a fun memory and we hope to do it again soon.

And we can't forget about the pantry makeover as well! Just love how bright this is and how fun it is to open the door each day!

As always, my trips to DC during this deployment came at much needed times.  Always love going and spending time with family.  And of course we must go to IKEA whenever possible!

I explored many places around NC and Oriental was one of my favorites.  Love when I can take Caligirl with me too!

I can't say it enough how the girls from work have pulled me through this deployment.  I don't know where I would be without a supportive group and having positive people around me.  Color Run in Beaufort, NC.

And then there was the visit from my mom and grandma.  The two best women in my life.  I miss this every day.  We had a great visit eating and going to Shakleford Island!

And then my Squadron ladies!  These ladies should also be credited for helping me make it through this deployment as well.  We have some great memories as well!

Then there was Thanksgiving in DC.  Like I said before I love my visits to DC but this trip was extra special. I did not spend it with my side of the family but I spent a holiday without Q with his family for the first time.  Cali did so well with all the people and she fell in love with baby J this trip!  I met baby J for the first time during this deployment and I can't wait for Q to meet him!!!

Christmas was not as fun without Q.  I decorated our house for the first time.  Luckily, I have kept the decorations up and we will be having Christmas here very soon when he returns!!!!

The penguin plunge into the ocean on New Year's day with my work friends is another cherished memory! I hope this repeats next year with Q!

Last weeks snow storm was an adventure to say the least.  This day will forever live on because it was the day we received about and 1-2 inches of ice/sleet and then an inch of snow that trapped me inside for 3 days, but it was also the day we signed on our house! Yes, OUR house!!!!

And of course we can't forget about all the faces of Cali.  There were too many to choose from, she would need her own post to fit them all!

But this little girl is what, above all things, got me through this deployment.  Without her, I would have gone insane on month 1! We cannot wait for dad to return home! Counting the days!  We are in the single digits finally!!!!!!!!
