Run Like The Wind

With Q having so much time off right now, we have been working out more and making up our own crazy workouts, which if you have heard us talk anything about working out together you would hear us say that we become super competitive and usually try and kill each other.  This may sound funny and it truly was at first, until the craziness inside us took over and now on day 3 neither of us can move.

Day 1 consisted of weight lifting hamstrings, quads, biceps and shoulders; then we hit the track!!! We did 1x 100m sprint followed by a 100m jog, 1x200m jog 200m, 1x300m jog 300m and 1x400m and jog 400m.  This was my favorite part of course.  I could not have been more excited to see and be back on a track.  I had not set foot on a track in 4 years and I did not really realize how much I have been longing for it.

Running brought back so many memories and feelings that filled me with so much joy.  You may be thinking that I am crazy, and to some extent that is very true but for some reason it just felt right.  I had the feeling that no matter how crazy life may be right now, at that moment in time, I felt free.  I felt free to have the thoughts to myself and actually just listen to my body and relaxation took over.  To Q this may not have been so true but we both had fun while we were running.  Yes it was really tough and we were both struggling pretty badly.  But for some reason, I KILLED the final 400m sprint.  Before starting it I told Q that I believe the 400m to be one of the hardest distances in Track and Field and for some reason all of my 400m training from high school came flooding back to be because the last 200m I really kicked it in.  It felt so great.

Day 2 of our workouts started with some chest, back, biceps and triceps work and then the track workout was a little bit more Q's style (I had to let him beat me after the previous day).  We started with some suicides followed by some form runs that ended in crab crawls followed by sprinting it home.  Needless to say after the previous day, we were both smoked and dying.  We left feeling so great though.  We definitely know how to push each other and we are feeling the results.  God can only imagine what we can come up with next.
